AmpTank is pleased to announce the signing of the connection agreement for the Kellarijänkä (Kemijarvi) battery storage project with Fingrid on the 2nd of January 2023. This project continues the progress of AmpTank in developing storage projects in the Nordic region. We again thank Fingrid and Sitema in their work and cooperation in the development of this project.
Battery storage in Finland will be vital to the Energy Transition and the deployment of renewable energy in the region. The Kemijarvi Battery Storage project will provide balancing and frequency maintenance services to Fingrid and allow for an increase in the connection of renewable energy to the Nordic grid.
