AmpTank will build its first hyperscale data center project in Utajärvi, Finland. With an initial capacity of 100MW available immediately, backup battery storage, and potential use of nearby renewable energy production. It is an excellent location for customers who would like immediate, clean, computing power.
The data center will be engineered to provide full flexibility for both the grid and its customers via backup energy storage, which will also serve to provide optimal performance via power management for high powered AI applications.
The project will connect to the nearby Fingrid substation, and with large solar, wind, and hydro projects adjacent there is the ability to expand over time.
The township of Utajärvi has provided tremendous support and AmpTank is grateful to both Utajärvi and Fingrid for their excellent cooperation.
AmpTank has an additional 400MW of data center developments in Finland with immediate power available.
